    Śrī Rāmānujāchārya

Śrī Rāmānujāchārya preached the doctrines of Viśiṣṭādvaita profoundly in many pilgrim places like Tirupati, Maharāṣṭra, Girnar (prime pilgrimage for Jains), Dwāraka, Prayāg, Mathurā, Vāraṇāsī, Haridwār etc. Due to his authoritarian preaching many followers of Jainism and Śankara's school of thought became vaiṣṇavas.

On the Disappearance Day of Srila Ramanujacharya

Srila Ramanujacharya appeared in a pious brahmin family in Sri Perambadur in South India in 1017 AD. He became the foremost acharya in the Sri Sampradaya, one of the four most prominent Vaishnava sampradayas. He was reputed to be the incarnation of Laksmana, the younger brother of Lord Ramachandra. His philosophy is visistadvaita And he travelled throughout the country spreading the message of visistadvaita. His greatest literary contribution is ‘Sri Bhasya’ on the Vedanta-sutra of Sri Vedavyasa. He instructed his disciples both by example and by precept. Two of his most important teachings are surrender to guru, and serve the vaishnavas.
