ata eva namābhāse sarva pāpa vināṣa āra samsara kṣaya
(Sri Bhakti-Rasamrita-Sindhu, Dakshin Part, 1/52)

Therefore, glow of the Holy Name can destroy all sins and worldly bondage. You have to think deeply about this. Yogis and jnānis, by performing immense penance for thousands of years cannot get emancipation but by the glow of the Holy Name one can get complete salvation and destroy all your entanglements with the world. Deeply you have to think about this.

taṁ nirvyājam bhaja guṇa-nidhe pāvanaṁ pāvanānāṁ
śraddhā-rajyan-matir atitarām uttamaḥ-śloka-maulim
prodyann antaḥ-karaṇa-kuhare hanta yan-nāma-bhānor
ābhāso ‘pi kṣapayati mahā-pātaka-dhvānta-rāśim

That person is richly endowed with all good qualities, even those performing immense penance karmis, jnānis, even they are not endowed with such qualities, who has got the aptitude to do Krishna Nama Supreme Redeemer of all redeemers and He is the original Bhagavan Sri Krishna, Crown of all worshipers, worshiped by emancipated souls. But the condition is with firm faith, that is to say without deceitfulness, without hypocrisy, and immediately because there is no certainty that you can again get human birth. Any moment we may lose this body which is perishable. For that reason immediately you start and with simple-heartedness, there should not be any crookedness. As the glow of the Sun removes all darkness, like that glow of the Holy Name after entering into the cave of the heart can destroy all great sins and nescience. Everything you can get. Only prema you can get by Suddha Nama, but the basis you can get even by namabhasa, least namabhasa, sanketya namabhasa.

parama pāvana kṛṣṇa tānhānra charaṇa,
niskapata śraddhā saha karaha bhajan,
jānra nāma suryābhās antare praveśi,
dhvaṁsa kare mahāpāp andhakārarāśi,
ei śikṣāṣṭake kahe kṛṣṇalīlā-kram,
ihāte bhajan krame līlāra udgam,
prathame prathama śloka bhaja kichu din,
dvitīya ślokete tabe hauta pravīṇ

Gradually you will get process, entrance into the transcendental pastimes of Sri Radha-Krishna by going sincerely through Sikshastaka written by or directed by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

chāri śloke kramaśaḥ bhajana pakkva kara,
pañcam ślokete nija siddha deha vara,
ei śloke siddhadehe rādhāpadāśraya,
ārambha kariyā krame unnati udaya,
chaya śloka bhajite anartha dure gela,
tabe jāna siddhadehe adhikāra haila,
adhikāra nā labhiyā siddhadeha bhāve,
viparjya buddhi janme śaktira abhāve

For gradual procedure, sequence of succession we have to be very careful, otherwise we will get reverse results, and the actual benefit of progress will not be obtained.

sāvdhāne krama dhara yadi siddhi cāo,
sādhura carita dekhi śuddha buddhi pāo,
siddhadeha peye krame bhajana karile,
aṣṭakāla sevāsukha anāyāse mile,
śikṣāṣṭaka cinta kara smaraṇa kīrtan,

In this, conditioned state, you cannot enter into the bhajan, enter into the pastimes of Radha-Krishna. If you try to do this remaining in the mis-conception of self then you will become sahajiya (the member of pseudo-sect).

aṣṭakāla sevāsukha anāyāse mile,
śikṣāṣṭaka cinta kara smaraṇa kīrtan,
krame aṣṭakāla-sevā habe uddīpana,
sakala anartha jābe pābe premadhana,
caturvarga phalguprāya habe adarśana

Everything will vanish, all ulterior desires will vanish.

ceto-darpaṇa-mārjanaṁ
bhava-mahā-dāvāgni-nirvāpaṇaṁ
śreyaḥ-kairava-candrikā-vitaraṇaṁ
vidyā-vadhū-jīvanam
ānandāmbudhi-vardhanaṁ
prati-padaṁ pūrṇāmṛtāsvādanaṁ
sarvātma-snapanaṁ
paraṁ vijayate śrī-kṛṣṇa-saṅkīrtanam

Without ten fold offences, rightly if you do Krishna Nama Sankirtan with other devotees loudly, then you will get all these attainments. Ordinary people have got no such belief. Cleansing of the mirror of the heart, extinguishing the forest fire of birth, death and threefold afflictions, bestowing eternal soothing benefit like moonlight, life of spiritual learning i.e. awakening of the real self, increasing of the ocean of bliss, bestowing at every step sweet taste of complete transcendental ambrosia, and thoroughly cleanses and cools one’s body, mind and real self. All glories to Sri Krishna Sankirtan!!

saṅkīrtana haite pāpa-saṁsāra-nāśana
citta-śuddhi, sarva-bhakti-sādhana-udgama
kṛṣṇa-premodgama, premāmṛta-āsvādana
kṛṣṇa-prāpti, sevāmṛta-samudre majjana
(Chaitanya Charitamrita Antya 20.13-14)

“By performing congregational chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra, one can destroy the sinful condition of material existence, purify the unclean heart and awaken all varieties of devotional service. The result of chanting is that one awakens his love for Krishna and tastes transcendental bliss. Ultimately, one attains the association of Krishna and engages in His devotional service, as if immersing himself in a great ocean of love.”

Ultimate goal 'kṛṣṇa-prāpti, sevāmṛta-samudre majjana' (attaining devotional service of Krishna which is a great ocean of love). You can get this ultimate object of prema only by doing Sankirtan.

Thinking of Krishna-lila (pastimes of Krishna)

niśante kirtane kuñja bhaṅga kare dhyāna
krame krame citta lagne rasera vidhān

When you are well-established in Sikshastaka then you will be entitled to think about transcendental pastimes of Radha Krishna, before that it will not be possible. So we have to do with much concentration Sikshastaka, its importance you should feel. Through Sikshastaka when you realize your transcendental self, in that transcendental form you can think about the transcendental pastimes of the Transcendental Lord. It is not possible by the inert material mind (jada man). So, great emphasis is given on purity of mind, consciousness (su-citta).

niśante kirtane kuñja bhaṅga kare dhyāna
krame krame citta lagne rasera vidhān

With kirtan you have to meditate. All powers have been given to kirtan. Very easily you can get realization if you can follow the teachings of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in toto without any hesitation and disbelief. Then your mind has contact with Sri Krishna and through contact all transcendental bliss you can get.

rātryante trastavṛnderita bahu-vira-vaibodhitau kirasārī
padyair-hṛdhyair api sukha-śayanād-utthitau tau sakhibhiḥ
dṛṣṭau hṛṣṭau tadātvoditarati-lalitau kakkhaṭīgīḥ saśaṅkau
rādhā-kṛṣṇau satṛṣṇāva api nija-nija dhāmnyāpta talpau smarāmi

Vrinda Devi apprehending day-break sends Suk-Sarika and other birds to start chirping to awaken Radha-Krishna. Also, gopis themselves are ready. The whole night the gopis kept guard so that Radha Krishna’s sleep is not disturbed in any manner by any cause. The birds were kept far away because they may start chirping and when it is proper time they are sent. It is not possible in this material world that if we are deprived of sleep for a week we will be in our normal healthy state. Even if one night’s sleep we are deprived off we will be disturbed and may be required to go to the hospital. Thus, there is gulf of difference. In that transcendental form, spiritual form they do not require this sort of rest, their rest is service of Krishna. By that they can get emancipation because they are getting immense transcendental bliss by contact of Radha-Krishna. That is actual sleep, actual rest. When you forget Them and you try to get all these physical comforts, you will be in this world. You can understand this. When they are in these eternal pastimes, daily they are giving whole night guard and but here they are quite well. You cannot remain for one night even, here we have found some persons, they can. Pujyapad Krishnadas Babaji Maharaj used to remain. Here they can. After sending the parrots and the principal birds among them Suk and Sari, Suk will sing glories of Krishna and will give pleasure to the group of Krishna’s associates and Sarika singing glories of Radharani will give pleasure to the group of Radharani’s devotees. And competition ensues but with very sweet voice. By hearing that automatically their object of worship Radha Krishna will open Their eyes, not forcibly. First Radharani will open Her eyes. And later on, we have already heard, that they are doing with the purpose that automatically Krishna will open His eyes, but neglecting the female monkey. This Kakkhati has a harsh voice, no no. But Krishna will not open His eyes. See, what sort of grace and affection He has got for all the souls that everybody should get the scope for service. So we should not insult any living being, speak ill of any living being. In Sri Bhajana Rahasya Bhakti Vinod Thakur has warned, not only commit offense to Vaishnava, even to speak ill of others is also offense, for that reason. He has got affection for all. And they are forced to give permission to the female monkey, you should make noise otherwise Krishna will not rise up, awake. Then she is glad to make this screaming noise, harsh screaming sound, and it seems to be very harsh but it is very sweet to Krishna. After opening the eyes Krishna and Radharani mutually see and with wistful eyes fear of being detected run towards their respective houses and to their beds to sleep.
