On today’s holy Tithi our Siksha-guru Param-pujyapada Sri Srimad Yayavar Goswami Maharaj performed the pastimes of disappearance. Our Gurumaharaj had sent me to Yayavar Maharaj’s Math at Medinipur from our Hazra Road, Kolkata Math due to some reasons. Later, I came to know that 35-40 persons from my connections before coming to Math (Purvashrama) had come to take me back to home forcefully. So Guruji sent me to Medinipur Math to protect me from them. Gauranga Mahaprabhu is very merciful. He knows that I am a fallen soul, still to rescue me he has sent His personification form of mercy, Srila Gurudeva. He gave me enthusiasm to progress on spiritual path. When my desire to leave material life became strong, I told him about my weaknesses, he told me that I might have weaknesses but Supreme Lord does not have any weakness. He is All-Powerful. He can do anything. If all the conditioned souls of this world put their energy together they cannot reach Supreme Lord. You may have some weakness but Supreme Lord does not have any. So if you take shelter to Him then there is no cause for worry. By his mercy, I could leave material life and come to Math.

So I was sent to Medinipur. I met Srila Yayavar Goswami Maharaj there. Later Guruji also came there. I also had darshan of Srila Sant Goswami Maharaj there. I have seen Srila Yayavar Goswami Maharaj singing and dancing in front of the deities during Tulsi parikrama. He used to do Bhagavat-path (giving discourses on Srimad Bhagavatam) with intense absorption. His recitation of Srimad Bhagavatam was very sweet. He used to sing in Nagarsankirtan. He used to give instructions also. I visited his other Math with Guruji at different places and also participated in one deity installation ceremony at one of his Math. I have also visited his birth place, three or four years back. He used to visit our Kolkata Math and also our Math in Assam and various other places with Guruji. He did not know Hindi, He only knew Bengali language. Once in our Kolkata Math, he spoke Harikatha in the assembly and that time one high-court judge who was present there was impressed by his Harikatha. Later, he invited Srila Maharaj to his house and made arrangements for his Harikatha there. I was also there with him that time.

In Mayapur, his Math is adjacent to our Math. His Samadhi-temple is also there. He compiled a Kirtan book (song-book), which has many Kirtans of our Mahajans, with their meanings. I got his abundant mercy. He used to come to our Math while he was physically able to. He stopped coming after he performed the pastimes of illness and soon after that he entered into the eternal pastimes of Radha-Krishna. All the exalted Vaishnavas have disappeared from this world. Pujyapada Puri Goswami Maharaj also has left. Now, Sant Goswami Maharaj and Trivikram Maharaj are there. This material world is like that only.

I have seen Srila Yayavar Goswami Maharaj doing Harinam loudly sitting on a chair for a long time in Sree Shyamanand Gaudiya Math. He was expert in cooking. Personally, I have not seen him cooking but I saw him correcting other’s mistakes while cooking. It is seen that all our Saraswat Vaishnavas had inclination for cooking and are expert in it.

I pay my innumerable prostrated obeisance to his lotus feet and ask for his mercy. I beg forgiveness for all the offenses I committed, knowingly or unknowingly. He is very merciful. May he bestow us with his service and service of his worshipful Lord Sri Radha-Krishna.
