    Śrī Śrīvāsa Paṇḍita

When Śrīvāsa Paṇḍita saw this extraordinary manifestation of the Lord, he was overcome with feelings of love and began to recite hymns of praise. Mahāprabhu was pleased with Śrīvāsa Paṇḍita’s recital and told him to call his wife and family members to see His divine form. He gave His prasāda to Nārāyaṇī Devī and showed His mercy to her by making her utter the Holy Name. Just as the devotee is dear to the Lord, the Lord is also dear to His devotee.

    Lord Krishna Himself Provides Everything

Mahaprabhu responded to Srivas Pandit’s statement by giving a roar and repeated the blessing He had given him before in Navadvipa, “Even if the Goddess of Fortune has to go begging, you will never know want in your home. Lord Krishna Himself provides everything that His exclusive devotees need.”

A Person Related to A Devotee is Also Dear to Krishna

Dukhi is related to Srivas Pandit. A person related to a devotee is also dear to Krishna. Krishna or Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is not seeing other qualities. Similarly, there was a tailor who was Muslim by birth who used to sew garments of Srivas Pandit. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu said he may be a Muslim but he has aptitude and desire to serve Srivas Pandit and his family members. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was satisfied. He has no other qualities. When Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was chanting and dancing He infused the divine love in that Muslim tailor and he also started dancing. By chanting of holy names he got all ecstatic feelings that muni rishis cannot get.

Life and Precepts of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu - Part I

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was born in Mayapur in the town of Nadia, just after sunset on the evening of the 23rd Phalguna, (1407 Sakabda) answering to the 18th of February 1486 of the Christian era. The moon was eclipsed at the time of His birth and people of Nadia were then engaged, as usual on such occasions, in bathing in the Bhagirathi with loud cheers of Haribol. His father Jagannath Misra was a poor Brahmin of the Vedic order, and His mother Sachi Devi was a noble good woman, both descended from Brahmin stocks originally residing in Sylhet. Mahaprabhu was a beautiful Child and the ladies of the town came to see Him with presents. His mother's father. Pandit Nilambar Chakravarti, a renowned astrologer, foretold that the Child -would be a great Personage in time; and he therefore, gave Him the name Visvambhar.

Life and Precepts of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu - Part II

Sri Chaitanya teaches us in the first place that the rational attributes of men are not capable of approaching the Divine sphere of spirit. Yukti, as He styles reason, is quite incompetent in such a matter. Ruchi as He styles the religious sentiment in man, even in a very small quantity, has the power to comprehend it. It is inspiration which can alone give light to spiritual matters. Inspirations coming down from Heaven through purified and blessed souls have exhibited themselves in the form of the Vedas. The Vedas together with their explanatory notes, the Puranas, are, therefore, the only evidence in matters of spirit and are eternal in nature. Vedic truths should, therefore, be accepted as the only truth in higher matter.

      Glories of Simantadvipa

Hearing Siva's words, beautiful Parvati quickly went to Simantadvipa. As she constantly meditated on the form of Gauranga and chanted His name, she became immersed in prema. After some time, Gaurachandra appeared with His associates to bestow mercy on Parvati. His complexion was like molten gold. He had long arms, wavy hair, and beautiful limbs. He was wearing a long dhoti folded thrice, and from His neck swung a garland of flowers, which was very attractive to behold. Parvati put Gauranga's foot dust on her Simanta (part in the hair) in great distress. From that, the name of Simantadvipa came.

      Glories of Koladvipa

Seeing the vipra's devotion, Varaha sweetly said, 'O Vasudeva, as you are My devotee, I am satisfied by your worship. When Kali-yuga comes I will display My pastimes here. Hear My words. In the three worlds, there is no comparison to Navadvip. Though it is hidden now, it is My very dear abode. The scriptures confirm that all holy places such as Brahmavarta reside here. The place where Brahma performed a sacrifice and I appeared to kill Hiranyaksa with My tusks, that holy place is present here, where I have appeared now. By serving Navadvip, all tirthas are served, and by living in Navadvip, the fruit of living at all other tirthas is attained. You are fortunate to serve Me in Navadvip. When Gauranga advents, you will be born here again. You will see the maha-sankirtana and the astounding form of Gauranga.

Srila Bhakti Pramod Puri Goswami Maharaj, a prominent disciple of Srila Bhakti Siddhanth Saraswati Thakur Prabhupad, would say that Nityananda Prabhu and Gauranga Mahaprabhu Themselves dance in the Kirtan performed by Srila Gurudev.

      Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa Bol Bol

This composition is from the book 'Gitavali' by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur and he is praying to the enslaved jivas of this world - 'You utter the name of Radha Krishna and you go along with us, then you will get everything.' It reminds us of the blissful pastimes of the Most Merciful Sriman Mahaprabhu and Sri Nityananda Prabhu distributing Krishna-nama and Krishna-prema freely to all the living entities as They dance through 'Nadia.' Srila Gurudev has sung this Kirtan during Sri Navadvip Dhama Parikrama along with devotees and the accompaniment of mridanga, kartals, khansar, etc. The Mahamantra kirtan in the later part is in a sweet soothing Vraja-dhun.

This indicates an unwise person.''

His kīrtana is Only for Bhagavan’s Pleasure

Krishna is telling Narada Goswami ‘mad-bhaktā tatra tiṣṭhāmi nārada’ (Padma Puran). 'Wherever My devotees assemble and sing the glories of My Name, Form, Attributes, Pastimes and Personal Associates is the place that I stay.' Also, Srila Gurudev would refer to Sri Vyasa Deva’s pastime of attaining eternal bliss after he wrote Srimad Bhagavatam exclusively for the pleasure of the Lord on the advice of his Guru Narada Goswami. Here Srila Bhakti Kushala Padmanabha Maharaj is affectionately remembering the same teaching of Gurudev through his kirtans and harikatha. that all the limbs of devotion should be performed with the sole purpose of propitiating the Supreme Lord and nothing else.
