Birth Centennial Annual of Om Vishnupad 108 Sri Srimad Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaj, Acharya of Sree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math (Regd.)
The Indian scriptures mention two paths - pravṛttir eṣā bhūtānāṁ nivṛttis tu mahāphalā - the path of worldly-mindedness and the path of renunciation. Conditioned souls are generally eligible for the path of worldly-mindedness. Persons eligible for the path of renunciation are very rare.

Bhakta Dhruva
The holy life of Dhruva exemplifies devotion that was at first tinged with elements of personal desire and then blossomed to complete purity. The story of Dhruva originally occurs in the greatest of Indian scriptures, Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, which elaborates upon the science of full-fledged theism. Therein is recounted how Dhruva devoted Himself to God, how he dealt with difficulties on His spiritual path and he finally achieved self-realization by the grace of the Lord.

The first four limbs of sadhana bhakti are: to accept the shelter of the lotus feet of a bonafide guru, to take diksa and receive instruction on service to Sree Krsna from him, to serve him with intimacy and affection and to follow the path of the Sadhus, under his guidance.
